I just installed windows 7 and I now I have issues with battle.net: The Problem started when I installed windows 7 beta. I have uninstalled and reinstalled warcraft 3 but it still displays the same error: There was an error writing to your hard drive while trying to download a file from battle.net. You may need to free up some space. please check your hard drive and try again. I have 20 gb of memory free so I doubt it is my hard drive's fault.
This issue might also be linked to the fact that I can't copy my maps folder into any program files folder, or any folder into program files for that matter.
Update: actually, its 100% a program files issue as if I copy my warcraft files to another location, I do not get that error.

If youre still in trouble, try running warcraft 3 as an administrator.

Vista and probably 7 have issues with allowing applications to write to the Program Files folder.
Just install all games elsewhere. -
If not mistaken, warcraft III TFT do not need any installation. LOL.
You can install it or you can copy+paste it to a folder. Both methods works.
Try to copy your Warcraft III TFT folder from another computer(use another computer and install war3 there 1st) and then, use an external HD or USB flash drive to copy it to the computer with Windows 7. Do not put it into Program Files folder.
