    battlefield 2 on my notebook

    just wondering if you guys know how well bf 2 would play on my note book (specs in my signature)

    it should run on low with a low res, your ram should be beefed up to 2gb for best performance. Bf2 is a real Ram Hog so 2gb is really needed. Your videocard is OK i know for a fact it will play on a x1400 so im pretty sure it should play on yours. If you want try downloading the demo for bf2142, it uses the same graphics and it will give you an idea on how well bf2 will run on your laptop. Hope that helps!

    Not to be contrary, but I was under the impression that BF2142, although using the same engine, had much more going on. i.e. plain ol' BF2 might perform better...

    Just my two cents. :eek:

    That's true; BF2142 is based on the same engine but is more demanding. I'm forced to go down to 1024x768 and medium-high settings on my desktop's 9800XT from BF2's 1280x960 + high settings.
