    battlefield 2 x3100 startup crash

    i know x3100 can run Battlefield 2, i have latest drivers, latest directx, when clicked on the shortcut it just gives you a momentary black screen and then exits....help?

    why would this be an issue? its a 12" LCD it cant pull anything except 50hz

    there was a way to fix the refresh rate somewhere here.. cant remember where though

    btw have you tried updating to latest patch of BF2 v1.41?

    I suggest reinstallation. That game can get annoying sometimes. This is one of them.

    Also, Intel has crappy drivers. Crappy drivers+crappy coded game=crash?

    okay i sorta remember now, you need rivatuner to force increase the refresh rate or something like that

    theres a guide here in NBR somewhere

    your telling me thats how they got it working in the Intel demo where they're playing B2 saying how good it runs?

    You really can't increase or decrease refresh rates on LCD monitors, they are stuck at 60hz, it's probably BF2 which thinks that you have a 50hz refresh rate for some reason.

    Also, trying to run BF2 on the X3100 isn't such a good idea, don't expect any miracles.

    Battlefield 2 gets 30-40 fps on 800x600 low on the desktop X3000. If you don't have the X3100 with GL960 chipset but rather GM965, it should be somewhat playable.

    50hz? Man ive never heard of any LCD going that low, thats probably why mate, sorry = (

    any chance of using something like powerstrip to bump the refresh to 60? i mean LCDs dont actually use refresh rates so couldnt you bump it up or is it hardwired?

    The good news is that it is SOMEWHAT playable, so hook it up to another screen you should be fine
