what are your thoughts on battlefield heroes? I couldn't find that many reviews on it. How long do you think the game will last for (as in replayability)?

It's a free online action game. It's pretty fun, great time filler, but I wouldn't spend more than an hour at a time playing it.

i got addicted to it after having the beta for the past couple of months and was playing it for 3-4 hours at a time.
im still playing it now but only for 1 hour at a time now.
and the best bit is its free.

I played it for about an hour and haven't gone back. It's got some pretty good mechanics, and slightly low-end cartoony graphics. I agree with htwingnut that 's a fun time waster, but not something I could see myself getting into hardcore.

Yea I played a few hours of it and I thought it was ok. I am in love with the graphics but what annoys me is the lack on voip and the crappy match making system. There were many times where I would just join servers with like 3 other people or none at all. I know this is a different battlefield game but I would like to have tons of people playing and it is very difficult to get anything done with your teamates without voice because they all just run around like a bunch of idiots...

Just like mikespit1, this is something that I really wanted to play hardcore but probably not going to.

I don't think BF Heroes is meant to be so much of a team based game really. You just all happen to be on the same team trying to achieve the same goal. It's a game for some quick in and out action. I don't like the fact that you can't run though. At least give some extra speed.

It's nice that it is free, but as a player of BF2 I was pretty disappointed.

It's actually got me more interested in booting up BF2 again.

It's good for what the game is. It's not an FPS and really doesn't try to be.

If you've ever played WoW PVP battlegrounds... well it's kinda like that with guns. You have two guns and a set of unique abilities. You get exp for kills and damage done and when you level up, you get to put points in different abilities. You also earn Valor Points in which you buy different guns and/or bandages. Gameplay wise, the objectives are similar to what regular BF games are like, but the games are much shorter. Hold points and tickets go down. First team to 0 loses.

You play one character at a time, meaning you can't switch classes on the fly, and you level only that character. Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I wish EA made this into an MMO. It's perfect for that. (Cue MMO haters...........now)

It's fun for me. I don't play too much of it, but it's nice when I have downtime at work.

It's really cartoonish, but quite fun. My brother's been playing it since it was on first beta, and now he's got some cool benefits (like a certain piece of clothing only pre-release players can customize their character with).

Just take note that it loads from an internet client so you need a connection and can't play online. Personally, I think BF2 is better and I still play that until now. You can still try to download it, but it won't compare to upcoming BF-series games, especially Bad Comapany 2.

there a sprint power that recharges quickly if you max it out...

i think both the commando and gunner classes have access to it. i don't think the soldiers can sprint though.

What I found out that really turned me off was that each server can only hold at most 16 players at once. I was hoping something like 64 players at once in a massive battle. I don't think I'm going to get it now. Maybe BF2 or BF3 when it comes out.

the maps are relatively small compared to bf2 maps. 16 people is actually pretty crowded considering.
