The performance of the 8600 is actually rather low. It may have DirectX 10 capabilities, but the overall power of the card is lower than a 7900GTX. And given there are only a FEW games that even support DX10, you have to decide what's more important. Sure it's got DX10, but it doesn't have the power to actually use it.

My 5760 is 10 months old, and my 3dMark scores are WAY higher than the G2, even before I overclocked it.

When the new Clevo 570RU (upgraded 570u = sager 5760) hits the market in July, it will have a 7950, but is speculated to have up to an 8800 as an option within a couple of months.

So, if you want DX10, best bet is to wait until 3rd quarter this year, when you actually have some options.

    Beat me to it. heh.

The D900C is THE MOST POWERFUL gaming laptop you can get right now. Sure, no DX10, but see my previous post. DX10 is pointless when the card doesn't have the power to use it.

The D900C has DUAL 512M 7950GTX's, and up to 3 hard drives in RAID 0 or 1.
