Like I said, you'll be better off there. Believe it or not.

If you want a 15", your best choices are NP8660 (Clevo M860TU) or AW M15X. If you go up to 17", you'll be looking at MSI GT725 or AW M17. The 5797 should be out of your budget, or very close to that.

And for the last time, you'll be better off there. You won't get very different answers as there are only so many different laptops in your range, but providing a clearer picture of what you're looking for would help.

w90 has some issues right now :D its a good laptop but the drivers are poo and the lock-up's are killing it ....

try the AW m17 or w90 or the sager for 17 inch/18.4

    15 inch would be np8660

ATI 4850 > 9800M GT and about = to 9800M GTX, some programs have the ATI ahead, others the Nvidia card.

    CF'd 3870s > 9800M GT, ATI 4850 and 9800M GTX

As for whether it's sufficient. That's going to depend on the program/settings.

    Sager NP5797?

Yes it's a single 9800M GTX, but you can't beat the quality. It's also not as chunky I suppose.

Toss in OS/RAM and it's the price of a Asus W90vp. Performance would be very similar to the MSI GT725 and it's larger if I recall correctly.

Where are you from? Take a look at the reseller guide on the Sager/Clevo subforum.
