    i heard that battlefield 2142 came with spyware or something?
    is this true?
    i find it hard to believe that EA would allow this to happen but ive heard it from many sources so i thought i might as well ask.

    PunkBuster is a program alot of Online Games use now; its a program that kicks people that are cheating or swearing or not following the rules of the game!

    Its not Spyware/Adware!

    I've purchased the Battlefield Franchise since they begun! And NO, EA does not include spyware with their products. Trust Me!

    I think some people (from reviews) say there is but you can easily select "No" to the Gamespy Arcade option.

    It includes ADWARE, which is different.
    Companies can rent digital billboards that are littered, sometimes obviously, throughout the playing maps.
