i`ve recently bought 8710w notebook with quadro fx 1600m graphic card.

at idle the gpu temperature is about 50-55°C and when i play any game, when temperature rises to about 70-75°C some of the textures in the game start to flashing with black colour or screen even starts to showing up some wierd textures and if i minimize the game and wait that the temperature of the gpu drops down for about 10°C and then maximize the game, the game works fine again until the gpu reaches 70-75°C.

so,do i have this problem because graphic card is overheating or is it the problem in graphic drivers and what is the maximum/operating/idle temperature for the fx 1600m`s?

    thank you all in advance!

Definitely sounds like an improper thermal paste application or the GPU is dying. Has it started to do this recently? If not (it's always been like that), it's DOA and should be replaced. If it did start this recently, it's dying and should be replaced.

No,i got this notebook four days ago and it has been acting like this all the time. Can you tell me what DOA is?

So,looks like i will have to send my notebook back to the dealer to replace the gpu under quarantee?

Ow,and recently notebook started to stucking in vista loading screen,i think in the part where windows is checking hardware.I have to restart it once or twice to succeesfully enter the windows.Could be possible that the gpu reports a problem to windows so it doesnt start?

And do you maybe know what are the normal temperatures of gpu`s under full operating?

    thanks
