Sorry for posting in wrong forum but I cant figure out how to delete a post.

I just purchased a fujitsu a1220 with windows 7 64, a bluray burner, and hdmi out. This laptop does not have a dedicated video card.

I am able to connect to my plasma with a vga cable by pressing Fn + F10 but when I connect with a hdmi and press Fn + F10 nothing happens on the tv end.

I do not see any option in the display preferences to switch to digital output or anything hdmi related.

What am I missing? any help is greatly appreciated.

Stupid question: The TV is set to the correct input right?

Is there any Intel utility in your taskbar? Try changing the output from there.

Sure the HDMI cable is good? Can you test it with another device, like a DVD player or something?

Also, while it's plugged in to the TV and Laptop, have you tried turning the TV off, and back on again?

Check your bios too, there might be an option to enable or disable HDMI output.

There has to be an intel utility somewhere, otherwise HDMI-out won't work properly/ be configurable.

Even on a 8600M GT, some drivers just plain don't work with HDMI
