    The 4 pack is $22.49 on steam, therefore it would come out to $5.62 if i can get other 3 people to split the deal.

    I am thinking about buying it. What is it like solo and multiplayer?
    Can you play it for free with random people on the internets? How many at a time? Is it like RPG / leveling style / masseffect 2 style? Is there something to explore aka fallout or coridor-like missions?

    Its a big open world, you can play it for free with random people and friends. Its up to 4 player co-op. And its a massive looting RPG with lvl up abilities. And there since its a big world there is always more weapons or places to find ; )

    I read a review just now that basically smashed the game pointing out
    1) lack of monsters
    2) 1 class has like 1 ability and then its just small power-ups like you shoot with rifle it start hitting a bit harder. So there is not much fun stuff going
    3) world is just desert, barrels and nps with "kill X" quests

    now i am not sure..

    Well i found the game to be utmost enjoyable, and so do many many people i know. It is of course a matter of taste, but i dont find the world deserted. And there is only 1 SPECIAL ability but there are many different weapon/health and such ability's. Its a pity to pass on this great game, but thats just my 2 cents.

    I'm kind of a lone wolf so I enjoy Borderland very much. I stop playing borderland where there was a bug and I didn't know how to patch. However the time I play it, I was hook, grand it does get kind of repetitive but I always felt like I was the predator and borderlands make you feel like a true heroes.

    I only did Singleplayer (until now). As much reviewers said, is a "Diablo meets FPS". If you liked Diablo, you will probably like Borderlands. I love the game, is awesome and FUN.

    Just don't take it like a "true" RPG. Is as close as an RPG as Diablo is. Hack & slash RPG-FPS? ;)

    I played through Borderlands with a few friends when I got it a long time ago...it was fun, but it got old fast. There really wasn't much variety in the missions; go here, kill this boss, fetch this item, kill this number of minions, etc.
