I believe the 7950M is a better card. So, you'd see a decrease in performance.

You should be able to see double the performance. Compare 3Dmark06 scores: NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M - NotebookCheck.net Tech vs NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX - NotebookCheck.net Tech The 750m scores twice as high and this is an older benchmark, so the 7950 will struggle even more in newer benchmarks than the 750mm. The 7950 also doesnt support dx11 or even dx10? which is required for some modern games

For CPU, the i7 definitely outperforms the C2D
    Intel Core i7 4700HQ Notebook Processor - NotebookCheck.net Tech
Intel Core 2 Duo T7600 Notebook Processor - NotebookCheck.net Tech

idk how your computer runs now, but with your new laptop, you should be able to run most new games at medium or high settings @720p fine.

I believe he's referring to this card: NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX - NotebookCheck.net Tech

You should see a massive improvement in performance overall. That CPU/GPU combination will play any game up til this point at 720p with medium or better settings.
