    well when i got my lappy i was very disapointed (t7250,3gb,8600gt ddr2 :( when it came to gaming after adding 1gb more ram and trying the vista guide and tweak guide for nvidia and after having to learn about aa af distance and other graphic option i have the settings so things play ok but when i see people with the same spec saying oh yeah i can play this or that game on max rez with all graphic's settings to max i think they are talking bull or that its my card thats at fault.plz help put my mind at rest cuz i am one step away from selling up and get a ps3 or xbox360. :(

    Your 8600 is far from weak. What games are you trying to play?

    Try running 3DMark06. While it's not completely accurate for in-game performances, it can be used to compare against other computers with similar specs.

    i play wow and get anywhere from 70 to 330 fps and the orange box i cap at 60 vsync but still hang's now and then,prey does not hang but i am diapointed at the way it looks and with it being from the doom engine and all its smooth but a little fuzz and if i try to make it a little nicer it chuggs.i did have quake 4 on but that was crap no matter what i did mouse lag too,oblivion but i understand that game needs a lots any way.

    i was also asking if some people are talking bull poo as this would mean that my and other systems are not as bad as they make are lappys seem.

    8600m GT is NOT weak, I'll just use my one reference: I play Crysis on high, CoD4 maxed out, UT3 maxed out, (all this on the oh so hated Vista, the resource hog OS of all time, yes, that's sarcasm) seriously, it's not a weak card, especially if you OC it a bit ;)

    That sounds about normal for 8600M GT. What version drivers are you using? Also, care to share settings you have set in games?
