Hey all, my bro is getting a notebook and i wanted to check a few things.

I hear the 8800 is out. is there any chance that the GTS or the 8700 will be put into the inspiron 1720? If so i'd consider that model.

i was looking at the sager 17 inch with the 8700 m GT . How can i order a sager to singapore? But we'll wait till dec 6 cause apprantly they'll have the 8800s by then.

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

8800 has been announced but it isn't on sale on notebooks until next year January at least. However pre-orders for Sager and other 8800 models might be delivered as early as December.

Don't expect the 8700 or 8800 to be an option with the 1720. Dell will want its Alienware subsidiary to get all the sales for the enthusiast cards so the 8600 will remain the best card in the 1720 for quite a while.

If you're in Singapore or SE Asia check to see if Sager do overseas shipping. I assume you have a credit card so that will do for payment. Ask the Sager forum for advice on overseas purchases.
