    Hey guys!

I was hoping that someone might be able to help me with a problem I've been having.
I downloaded CoD 2 last night, there was one interruption in the download but everything finished up fine according to Steam. But when I went to play it, the game froze during the bit where the Activision logo's flying around and I had to use the task manager to exit.

I don't know what to do. I'm not all that familiar with Steam so I don't know where to go for support...I'd rather delete the game and buy it from a store now but I dont know if I have that option anymore. :( I'm really dissapointed and I hope that something can be done. If you guys have any experience with this or advice please let me know.

My system is: amd athlon x-2 ql-60, 3gb ram, ati radeon hd3200, vista home premium

i know its not my notebook. it runs bioshock, fear, vampires the masquerade, half-life 2, Civ IV and a bunch of other games just fine

i had the same problem before. you can try disabling the stem community in-game under settings in steam. or you could just skip through all the intro vids.

delete the game and reinstall it; its incredibly easy to do with steam.

otherwise try defragging (through steam, then maybe windows as well)

When you delete a game in steam you're just removing the locally stored files, the game will always be attached to your steam account. This is the great thing about steam, you can install all the games you've bought as many times you want on any computer as you want as long as they has internet access :)
