No, you will never be able to upgrade it. As a matter of fact, you cannot upgrade most notebook GPUs ever.

No, if you dont select a machine with a dedicated GPU they will give you a motherboard with an IGP and no slot for a gpu

There would be no slot in your mobo. A laptop isn't built like a desktop.. . :D

GPUs are either in the chipset (integrated) or soldered onto the notebook (in this laptops's case, along with most others). Integrated GPU motherboards do NOT have the extra connections for a dedicated GPU, and dedicated GPU motherboards (most of them) cannot have the GPU swapped.

You can NEVER upgrade an IGP notebook, NEVER. And HP has never let any of their consumer line laptops have an upgrade option.

If you still aren't sure...check out the sticky in this forum...where it says you cannot upgrade the GPU.

IGP's can never be upgraded. Not even on desktops.

Uh...I disagree. I have two motherboards in my house right now with integrated GPUs (an Intel 915 with GMA 900 and an nForce 430 with GeForce 6150) and both have PCI-E slots in them running dedicated graphics cards. IGPs in laptops can never be upgraded, but the same is certainly not true of desktops.
