    can i change the video memory??

    I have an HP Pavilion Dv2000 and i can only change the video memory to 128mb in the bios. Is there another way to increase the vidoe memory?? thanks.

    I don't think you can increase video memory.

    you cannot, its because there is only shared video memory in that laptop, if u had say a dell xps m1730 or an alienware or along those lines then yes, because there proper graphics cards, then they can be upgraded

    I don't think he mean upgrade but anyway. Also dell xps m1730 or an alienware isin't the only company wich has proper graphics card(s)

    While the XPS M1730 isn't the only notebook with upgradeable graphics, the list of notebooks that can upgrade GPUs is only a handful. The DV2000 is not on the list, so you can't upgrade the GPU nor the memory on it. The GPU itself really doesn't need more than what you have due to its limited bus width. If you did add more memory somehow, you wouldn't notice a difference in any games anyways.

    exactly, the amount of VRAM is not equal the amount or performance you gain.
