    of course but it must be a 200pin so-dimm type and maybe same matching speed

    example

    Pc2-4200=533mhz and

    if its a new laptop with vista the performance increase would be minimal however better than 512 alone.

    If the two sticks are of different speed, they both go at the lower speed.
