Yes, the 7800GTX is the best notebook GPU currently out, that'll change in a week or two though.

It'll run it with them most of the way up. Currently there is no Non SLI/Crossfire system that can play oblivion maxed with good fps.

I'd recommend getting it for xbox 360 (gamespot gave the 360 version winner status in a head to head between the two)

Firstly, you do realize that the 7800GTX is a LOT better than the X-Box 360, correct? Secondly, if you have a computer that can run it that well, why not use said computer fir what it's made for.

I think that the computer version has a map editor that you can download. The only add ons for xbox are downloads, and I am not sure what type of stuff that you can dl.

If you have a top-end card such as the Go7800GTX, there really is no need to ask whether or not you can play. Take a look at the system requirements. ;)

What about the x1400. I'm scared to ask. I know oblivion is supposed to be the top notch of all games, but my x1400 actually seems to run pretty well for me. I'm playing doom at 1024 X 800 with medium setting on and it runs near flawlessly, and I know doom 3 is supposed to be one of the most demanding games up there. So what do you think, will the x1400 maybe play Oblivion at Medium Settings, or maybe if not the Low Settings?

I don't really know what I'm talking about here but it seeme to me that since PCs seem to have a better resolution than a TV screen it would require a more advanced graphics card to reproduce similar images on a PC than a television screen. I have an old TV though.

You have a Dell XPS M170 Intel P-M 760 (2GHz) with 2GB RAM, 7800GTX, and 100GB 7200RPM HDD, eh? Does the term "Ultra High Settings" mean anything to you? :)
