I say the Toshiba since the NV g71 is the GeForce Go 7900 GS( according to wikipedia). If gaming is a priority then you want the Toshiba w/7900GS

The Mobile Graphics Card Info Page

Are you looking at the Toshiba P105/P205 and the Dell Inspiron E1505(or the E1705)?

Is the toshiba a regular core duo or did you forget the 2 part?

If so, the Dell has a better processor (Core 2 Duo vs Toshiba's Core Duo).

The Toshiba looks to have double the hard drive space (obviously).

Finally, the VGA (graphics) cards are in different leagues.

    The Dell has a low-end x1400.

The Toshiba has a Geforce 7900 Go (that is what the G71M means).

The Toshiba has the superior VGA card, and more hard drive space.

Unless you forgot to mention the 2 in Toshiba's processor name, the Dell has a superior processor.

Games Toshiba, and because CPU's can all do the same thing just faster or slower you gotta go with the gamer Toshiba.
