    can't overclock 8600m gt with any driver...

    doesn't matter which driver i use (177.92, 169.01, 169.05, 158.45 and many others) in rivatuner and ntune, when i increase the clocks and click apply, it always just clicks back to default clocks...

    I'm using vista 32bit...

    Before sending out the laptop for repair to acer (HD DVD drive was broken) overclocking worked, now it doesn't... what gives?

    Would reinstalling vista help?

    Try editing nvsultil there with notepad:
    C:\Users\****\AppData\Local\NVIDIA Corporation\nTune\Profiles
