    hopefully someone can help me.
i have a vostro 1400 with 8400m gs graphic. today when i turn on my computer, it cannot locate my graphic card.
i checked display properties, on the setting tab, the 8400m gs didnt show up, instead i think its using the integrated graphic card.
i try reinstalling the driver from the website but the driver said it cannot locate the hardware for the driver.
    help help!
maybe the dedicated graphic card is turned off. dont know whats going on. did i accidently press on something to make it go from dedicated graphic card to integrated graphic card??

What driver did you try? The one from Dell for your notebook or just 'a driver'? In that case, download the exact drive or get one from laptopvideo2go.com

Do you remember anything that happened before the last time it was turned off or rebooted? Did you anything out of the norm before you turned it on again and the 8400mGS was no longer being recognized?

And also like Ice-Tea asked, what driver was it that you tried, and did your properly go about installing it?

And well there you go, glad you were able to solve it.
