cant install and play a game on my gateway laptop help please

hi i bought a gateway laptop about 3 months ago its model number is ml3108b note book pc, the game is medal of honor allied assault, i have managed to install it but everytime i click play it says please enter the right disk but i have the right disk in there i was also told to try something else so i didnt need the cd but all i keep getting with that is,

is there any way i can play this game on my computer i works ok on my dads pc.

 

I would do this
1. right click my computer
2. properties
3. hardware tab
4. device manager
5. delete cd-rom drive
6. restart
your computer should find or say "found new hardware" and should try to install new drivers. I have not tried this but google this and see if this is the right thing to do. This should be last resort and don't hold me to it if it fails. You might want to call up gateway. Or another thing you can do is install new driver for your disc drive.

 

thanks for your ideas but i have had advice form someone off another forum and he said to download a driver 6100 or something and it now works
