how does that compare to 3Dmark 11? Or Vantage?

how the feck did you get that when the average is 5-6000

serious overclock with a nuclear reactor core :)

    @Daniel
dont think he will be able to run mark11 as hes using xp 32bit ARGHH!

o.0 after checking that score is pretty neat indeed. When i´d aim for such a big overclock the GPU freezes because of insufficient voltage. The processor seems to be above average as well. Nice score man!

Weird how those results arent linear to the clock speed you use  I ran some 3dmark 2006 as well. With stock vs OC only a 20% gain in preformance but a much bigger OC.

ran some test with the machine in my sig to compare. It is indeed a crazy score. I fell one points short of 15200.

How did you achive such a big overclock? What exactly did you change (core voltage etc) to achive it? Im am running low on GPU voltage to get my core clock up  But i´ll need a bios flash to achive that.

Flash it, it's super easy. I overvolt for benchmarks then flash back to an unlocked vbios with stock voltage all the time :)

it's the HD 7750 running in the lenovo advanced dock :D

Lots of work took place to overcome various issues due to physical space, power consumption, BIOS issues, overheating, and the x1 PCIe link, but overall I consider the project as completed, since last night at continues load the temps topped out at 87 deg C in 22 deg C room.

turns out having two GPUs is quite nice. I can game on one and do a complete different task on the other.

cant run 3dMark11 but I can say this one as connected is over 5 times faster (on 3DMark06) than my laptop nVidia GPU, on which I was gaming as well though :D Still the performance is limited due to the x1 link, but here's the web score for the card: AMD Radeon HD 7750 Review - Performance

fastest card that is widely available and doesn't require external power supply :D

great project :) +1 I didnt see the second graphics card so i thought you reached a crazy overclock. But then still fitting a 7750 into a laptop is even more crazy :D How did you get room for that?

it's not inside the laptop, it sits inside the docking station. So when I dock my laptop I can use it with my external monitor, so it becomes somewhat like a desktop (I also have external monitor, keyboard, mouse, and DVD burner). But when I need the laptop I just undock it and take it with me, so there I'm stuck with its internal GPU only (which overclocks like crazy BTW - at 50% over it runs very stable, been like that for ~5 years already). But it's from the "faulty" nVidia line so it may die some day.

I have two T61 laptops so I can use the docking station with this GPU inside for both of those :D

Some kind of eGPU with dock AC power? Pretty neat ~~

Make me want to get a t60 with IPS + some kind of eGPU and dump damn heavy m6600. I miss the keyboard and trackpoint

well there's something seriously wrong with the setup. While benchmark scores are great, FPS is not - I've tried two games so far and both perform worse than my internal GPU which is over 5 times slower than this. I'm assuming the bus is to blame for this, as my internal is connected at x16.

makes me think that the bus is of great importance, despite benchmark scores. For example, maybe lenovo T420s with its nVidia 4200m connected at x16 would give more FPS than lenovo T430s with its nVidia 5200m connected at x8. (source notebookcheck gpu-z screenshots). I will have to start another topic about this.

    oh well..

Well the nVidia 4200m is based off the same core as a GT 520m and i don't see that saturating a pcie even 1.0 at x8

It's prob gonna be the ati and nvidia drivers not playing nice combined with a weak cpu. I would try a Nvidia gpu and see if that improves the fps in games since you wont have ati and nvidia drivers giving each other the finger.
