im having an issue installing command and conquer 3 on my new asus g1s with windows vista. When I load the disc the autorun option pops up and i click to install, about halfway through the initial install an error message pops up telling me the installation package could not be opened, contact the vendor to verify this is a valid windows installer package... this is a brand new laptop with the default vista setup out of the box, i haven't installed any programs on it yet.

I have researched by searching EAs website and google but cannot come up with a solution.. I have tried running as an admin and in windows xp comp. mode

    Thanks for any suggestions!

Probably the disk is scratched or data was lost when they copied the dvd. Try it on other pc and see if they have the same problems.

Try running as the inbuilt Super-Administrator. Some of my games would not install no matter what until I used that login to do so. Once installed, they open fine on any other login I have. I saw this mainly with games that started trying to install with installshield.
