Obiously depends on the goods but ultimately a desktop as far as averages go.

Everything runs better on a desktop than on an equivalent laptop - more power for your money, more power available, higher resolutions capable on external monitors, and GPU companies tend to favour desktop cards when it comes to new drivers.

Still stinks that you have to buy a good monitor and keyboard and that desktops aren't really portable (although I've lugged mine to more than a few high school LAN parties back in my day before getting a high caliber gaming laptop).

Desktop parts will always run better than comparable laptop parts but best bang for the buck and best fit for the user are up for debate imo.

On the subject of EA, anyone getting or playing RA3?

EDIT: Now I remember where I saw your name before Dragunov; as a weapon in Max Pain 2 lol...I'm sure it was/is an actual sniper rifle though....**goes to wiki**

RA3 is fun, despite the massive headache it was to get it installed. (CD key was lacking a digit).

Unfortunately, EA's netcode seems to still suck for multiplay as well.

Was it anything like RA2 (as in are the sides balanced well?)

Just judging from the cover art, I think I'm going to leave this one on the shelves at gamestop for a few months until I pick up a copy.

    For your viewing pleasure~

EDIT: Is that a freaking bear next to the ghostly-pale woman? And I thought killer dolphins and attack squids were pushing it. (loved the terror drones though)

I just picked it up and it's okay, but I agree with addbot. Red Alert 2 is still my favorite...I really wish Westwood Studios hadn't dissolved; EA still can't quite get the feel of the original games.

Westwood was the best Command N Conquer Game Maker around. RA3 is ok. the gameplay is good. the graphic's are kinda like cartoon/very good looking. it lagged on my computer maxxed out on 1680x1050. so it does take kinda of alot out of your computer

I would love to get it. Unfortunately, I've read too many bad things about the gameplay and quality control issues. It looks like all the money went into casting and not enough into development and QA, again. If I get the game, I'll get it after it hits the bargain bin. :(

Snayperskaya vintovka Dragunova (Dragunov Sniper Rifle) - been my favourite since ghost recon first came out, until I saw the M98B just recently
