well just gave the gold edition of this game a run through last night and i have to say im very impressed, ive always been a big RTS fan and this is a very very good example of a real war game.
units seem to act and feel like they should, its not unrealistic and the different game modes make for great fun.

anyone else have this game and if so how you finding it? do you still play and if so please feel free to add me for some online play username: mtshadow

great thing about the gold edition is it includes opposing fronts as well
how long does the single play mode take to work through, last war rts i played was C&C generals and i found the single player alittle short and not overly challenging.

Hey mtness, I'm a big CoH fan as well although I was a little less impressed with Opposing Fronts I still lapped it up cause it meant I got to play more CoH :)

Single player probably takes, depending on difficulty leve of course and if you're attempting to get the various medals...probably a few weekends worth so you're looking at 20-35 hours

CoH is good. I just wish they had regular air support options!

has anyone seen the previews of the new game they are coming out with? Looks interesting, they are going with you are like a tank commander so at times only control one unit.

yeap, it does look very good as well, sweet just in time to finish the original and opposing fronts then straight into the new one.

it's on IGN, apparently it's like a singleplayer tactical type thing, reminds me of Commandos with tanks and good graphics

Been loving this game for some time now. Just bought it for a friend so we could game it up hard. My name is Tides in the multilayer if you want to add me! I'm not great, but I'm getting better!

Loved the game...I even thought the in-game tutorial was clever...don't play much anymore...have moved onto Fallout 3 and Dead Space...

Relic has always been a strong developer...I loved Homeworld...loved Company of Heroes...but my favorite from them is the Dawn of War series...

I wish your units carried over from mission to mission, hated that it doesnt. but they're doing that with dawn of war 2, so hopefully company of heroes 2 will get the same treatment.

good point, especially in the single player campaign, it would be good to see the obtained ranks carry over, as it would definately make me preserve them alot more.

well this to date is the best RTS game ive played, its very fast paced, not alot of time for sitting back on you butt, as if you do, the enemy start to attack your control points......im truly amazed at the in game audio, from the firing right up to the talking between units........
