to play games like that at a moderately high res at mostly high settings, you will need atleast an 8800m GTS, even better yet the 9800m GTS is carried in the P-7811 FX for about $1400 at best buy. 17inch laptop though. At those settings thats the lowest I would go. I think an 8600m GT could suffice, more towards medium on the scale though.

Yep +1 for Gateway FX. However you can also look into the Sager NP8660 which has similar performance (9800m GT) in a 15.4" form factor.

As long as you get a laptop with 8600m GT/9500m GS/9600m GT/HD 2600/HD 3650 or better you'll be able to play those games with nice settings.

Agree with azno here, suggesting a 9800 gpu is a little rediculous.
A mid range gpu will play all of those on at least medium - high settings just fine.
A 9600m or HD3650 would be the best way to go atm.
