ok i have some snes roms on my computer but the thing is, it's not really as fun playing on the keyboard. so i considered buying a super nintendo but am having trouble finding one for a decent price. so i am thinking of just getting a controller to connect to my comp. but wanted to make sure it would work with the roms before i bought it. anyone have any helpful info or done this before?

if you get an xbox 360, then the wired controllers double up as computer controllers too

I use my XBox Controller S as my main pc game controller, on the rare chnace that I actually need to use one. I have a device that you can connect the Xbox or PS2 controller too your pc with. I avoid the PS2 controller cause well, it's not very good. the analog sticks aren't accurate.
But yeah, buy a 360 controller! Those things are the best. But they're pricey!

Yep, I would totally agree. Love the controller. I posted up a thread not too long ago to ask NBR to see if I should buy it or not and a lot of people suggested yes and I did. So right now its my favorite controller ever! =)

    Yea little pricey. I agree.

Do you primarily use controllers for PC Gameplay, or just for certain games? What games would you say are a "must" for controller use?

I'm getting a gaming laptop and am trying to find out what would be a better add-on purchase - a full-sized keyboard/mouse combo or a controller.

Most of the games I use my controller are like sports games (NBA Live, NHL, etc). But I still can't get the hang of using a controller for first person shooters. I think the WASD + Mouse is a lot easier.

nice, thanks for the help. i'm planning on just getting a cheap controller because the only thing i plan to use it for is the snes roms which i don't need the analog sticks for. i would just buy a super nintendo before i bought a 360 controller, too pricey.

I have a friend who has an N64 style controller with a USB connector instead of the regular N64 one that he uses with Project64 and SNES games. I would suggest the same. I don't know where you could find one though... check the internet.

well i got a logitech dual action(basically a third party ps2 controller). it was originally 22.99 but the box was opened(i think someone had returned it) so i got 50% off. it was only 12.54 after tax. it's a pretty good controller too. the buttons aren't real stiff like some cheap console controllers can be. :D
