could a dell vostro 1000 play half life 2, counter strike source, and some quake 3 engine games? Im pretty well versed in what will run, im sure the quake 3 stuff will run great. the source stuff im not so sure. im looking at the base configuration, a sempron, an x1150 and 512mb ram. I hear that the integrated graphics neda better cpu but thats not a very good cpu. I dont need high settings or anything this is just kinda for side ventures because i have a desktop that can max any game im just lookin for a way to have a little gaming fun on the go. Low graphics at 800x600 is what im aiming for and was just wondering if that would net me playable frame rates, ie 30-40 fps. and please dont suggest i get a more expensive gpu because thats not what im asking, thanks ahead for any replies

    No probably not.

The gpu may be able to squeeze by but the shoddy single core cpu combined with x1150 probably will produce a slideshow if it runs.

Yes, it will be able to handle it at least at lower settings. The Source engine is very scalable, so you shouldn't have a problem. If it still does lag try playing the games in directx 8 mode or lower.
