counter strike source freeze

Okay i recently bought a new gaming laptop. I downloaded source on it and when i played for a few minutes it just froze. So i had to jsut turn the thing off and on. This happened like 3 times and on the forth my ping went up like crazy in an instant and when i exited it was a black screen. So i had to turn it off again.(without shutdown) Do u think if i reinstalled counterstrike i can fix this problem?? what do u guys think?

 

Is this an event exclusive to CSS? ie. can you play other games with no problems?

What's the laptop? Are you overclocking it at all?
Also what kind of temps are you getting?
You need to try to isolate the problem.

If other games are fine then it's probably CSS related. If not, then I'd look at hardware and OS/Drivers.

 

My laptop is the new gateway p-7811. im not overcloaking it and i dont know the temperature but it is pretty hot, but i think thats normal. Ill play other games too make sure its css esclusive

Next time you try to play monitor your temps just in case.

 

well that one was a defected one i think cuz mine was at like 60 celciius
