    anyone know how to fix this? ~ doesnt bring down the console

    one some games, it's sometimes ctrl+~ or alt+~.
    look at your options menu.

    you have to enable it first...make a autoexec.cfg file with "con_restricted=0" in the first line and put it into the config folder of Crysis. This way you´ll be able to bring down the console.... i think it is also possible to bring down the console if you edit the shortcut for Crysis adding -devmode after crysis.exe
