    Hi out there,

I was hoping for a suggestion on a groovy first-person shooter game. I've had my acer 2012wlmi for about 2 months now, and have found myself curious as to how this machine performs games-wise. I'm not a 'gamer' per se, I was raised from atari 2600, through nintendo and the golden days of the sega genesis (nhl '94 and madden '93 are my all time faves [8D])...but i have dabbled with my brother's sony ps2 and frequently get sucked into 007 when i'm home visiting....

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated...doesn't have to be a shoot-em up, but i'll leave that to the experts [ :)]

    thanks

    t

Doom 3 will test your system more than anything else, it just came out this week too. If you look around a little online and in the stores there is more buzz about this game then anything in a very long time. Doom the original really kicked off the first person shooter genre and got things going.

Check out Half-Life:Counter Strike. Its a first person shooter, and I would have to say my favorite. You can play it on-line or lan. You play as either a terrorist or a counter-terrorist and you play on teams to complete of setting a bomb at a certain spot if your a terrorist and trying to reach it to defuse it if your counter-terrorist. And there are mods for it you can download like Day of Defeat, which is a first person shooter based during WW2, where you can choose to have differant positions on an army to be. And all you need is the game Counter-Strike to be able to download the other mods that are based on the game Counter Strike and can be downloaded for free.

But thats my favorite game currently, check it out.
