Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this.

My cousin was telling me that it's not possible to transfer data from my pc to my xbox 360. Is this true? If not, how do I do it?

I am wondering.. since I just got my xbox 360 and I have some stuff on my laptop that I'd like to put on the 20gig HD that I have on the xbox.

I think you can. Just plug in a crossover cable between the xbox and laptop. This may not work though. I cant remember if it can only stream or can transfer. I'll check when I go home tomorrow if I have time.

i've had some success here by connecting my xbox to my router, and working it through our home lan.

you can stream music, but you can't permenantly put any on the HD.

you can transfer a picture to set your background on the Xbox360 Dashboard, but you can't set the blades individually ( always the same picture).

you can't directly transfer files (though there are instances where you can move pictures).

you can't transfer things to use as gamer pics, possibley you could download themes, but i haven't tried it yet.

i don't think directly plugging it to your PC works, try going through a router. make sure your computer has Windows Media player / centre installed on it (and configured to allow your Xbox to connect).

its a shame you can't permenantly transfer files =( but you can always resort to downloading music cds via the disc drive.

I couldnt get it to connect properly through my crossover connection, so I couldnt even stream audio. You could try a memory stick that has xbox support? Cruiser crossfire supposedly works but yet again I am away from the xbox so cant check for you.
