Hi,
I believe that the single/dual pipe refers to cooling of the graphics card. I.E the single pipe only has one pipe coming out of it to cool it, the dual has two. Performance wise i dont think there is going to be a difference, however the 7900 single pipe will get hotter, and will be less overclockable.

I'm afraid Gethin is right, the dual/single pipe refers to the heatpipes that come with the graphics card. Dual pipe allows the card to run cooler.
Don't know what you mean by single and dual pipes, pixel pipelines come in quad configuration these days. -
well.......it is pretty confusing!

It is confusing, heatpipes aren't generally mentioned when talking about graphics cards on laptops. One would like to assume that it will be adequately cooled when you buy it. Wasn't the case with the single pipe 7900GS go.

wierd !
normally they talk about the specs of the graphics card...so thats why i was assuming that they were talking about pixel pipes or somethings -
Initially from the thread title I thought he meant SLI, and was getting confused with Single card and Dual card setup.
difference between single and dual pipe video card
