i'm planning on buying a dv4t with g105m graphics card. The graphics card seems powerful and might waste much battery life. So I just want to know if I can disable the graphics card in Device Manager when i'm not playing game or watching movie (save battery life)? And what would the result be if i disable the card?
Thanks in advance guys![]()

Don't.....the graphics card automatically underclocks under light load to lower voltages.
Best you could do is to undervolt the 2D level. -

Unless you have got a hybrid graphics system ie a laptop which can flick between an IGP and a separate dedicated graphics chip you are stuck with the dedicated chip at all times. Without it you won't even be able to boot. When you are not playing games however you card should downclock and undervolt which is what powermizer does(nvidia card function) that will conserve battery life.
Don't uninstall the driver lol for the reasons stated above plus the fact that without a driver the card will run at full speed and therefore full heat and full power all the time.
disable dedicated graphics card?
