I want to use GPUs in XPS M1730 for rendering and CUDA computing. I heard that better to disable SLI mode (and it should be possible to use cards separately).
When SLI is enabled, my application (and programs from CUDA SDK 2.3) recognizes both GPUs but I have problems with choosing correct device. So I disabled it and everything should work good. It isn't - only one GPU is visible for CUDA. My friend checked it on normal PC - when SLI is disabled, both GPUs are visible.
So what's wrong? Maybe one graphic card is also switched off when SLI mode is disabled? I called to Dell support - they told me that both cards are working.

I think this is best posted in Nvidia forum. Although, after a short visit there, I doubt you'll get the answer, but you still have a better chance of getting any aswer there.
