Well...if you had your disk you could have made an ISO of the disc and then mounted the ISO with Alcohol 120%. But in your situation you might need to purchase another disk. You should be able to find Halo for pretty cheap.

technically, as far as i know, you only buy the key for the license to use the software. the cd is just a convenient means of distribution. if you legally own it, you can use whatever methods you want to install the software on your machine. that includes borrowing the cd from a friend, or using "other means" to acquire it.

you can also find a replacement executable file or a disk image to mount with alcohol or daemon to solve the cd in tray annoyance problem.

you will still need a valid key to play both on and offline.

if you lost your key but you still have the game installed, you can go to

    http://www.h2vista.net/forums/showthread.php?t=67

    and recover it.

    good luck.

A lot of games lose online function with the crack...so if your goal is to play single player ok but multi is a bit hard to achieve...

megagames.com and gameburnworld.com are 2 that have the files your looking for, GL! I personally hate having to switch CD's in my laptop and carrying CD's for games that I own.

Ps. you can talk about no-cd patches, just not how to pirate a game.

It does if there is any form of anti-cheat enabled, like vac or punkbuster

Negative Ghostrider, I play BF2 and BF2142 both which use punkbuster. I use No-CD patches on both of these games, never had any online problems.

Make an ISO and mount it in a virtual cdrom (alcohol or daemon tool for exemple) and you wont need the CD... some protection detect the virtual cd... so theres "patch/crack/fix" to make the game bypass this protection or "emulate" the protection (but its not directly on the game so it wont affect the way its played, for the game the cd is inserted in a real cdrom)... just read around, use google...

google.com is your friend... ask him!
