Ok I only had 3dmark05 running, after a fresh restart so no memory leaks. Specs:
    2155
    1.6 amd turion
    2gb (1920mb) RAM pc333
    128mb video for 200m
    standard 5400rpm 80gb HDD

    scores:
    599 3dmarks with 128mb
    577 3dmarks with 64mb

I have heard that the ati 200m gets 600-700 marks usually, I dont know what the deal is with mine. I have 8.xxx driver version so thats up to date. The ram I bought has a cas of 2.5 for 333mhz. I dont know maybe Im just at the bottom of the barrel, I kinda feel like a guy running 15.2 in the 1/4 mile when the rest are running 14.9. Well I hope that the mt40 thats coming will help things out.

I am computer savvy and certified, but Im not a gaming nut or video guru. I want some pointers if you guys have any. And please dont give the ****py response of "get a better card" or something having to do with my low end card. Im not an intense gamer but I saw that this card gets 600-700 on 3dmark and Im figuring thats with factory settings.

If it usually is supposed to get 600-700 and you are getting 599, you're not happy? As long as you have the must updated drivers and you have sufficient ram it should work fine. Use some overclocking utility if you want it to go faster (ATI Tool?)

remember, that benchmarks mean very little im real performance. if the games are playing fine without problems, then what does it matter if your 3dMark0x score is low?

some computers will have great 3dMark0x performance, and run horrible games, and others will have horrible 3dMark0x performance and run great in games, and some will run equally bad in both..etc...

be happy your games play fine, and dont worry about the scores. :)

    pb,out.

Like pb said, don't rely on synthetic benchmarks. Yeah 3dmarkxx is supposed to simulate real games, but I don't trust them. Only good for checking performance changes from a new driver install.

Also remember driver settings as well. Many people set their image quality settings to max performance before running benchmarks, not their gameplay settings.

Turn off any background program like anti-virus programs turn everything off in your videocard properties in CCC, set image quality to max performance or optimal performance whatever it says, then give it a go.

Oh yeah, turn AI to Advanced.

    Cheers,
    Mike
