I have the latest omega drivers (i have a 6800 go) and recently installed bf2.
When i play the game, vehicles and models don't cast shadows right; rather than a shadow in the shape of what is casting it, there is just a huge, square shadow that follows the vehicles and characters, occasionaly flickering
At the startup screen it recommends that I go back to the splash screen and click on the update nvidia drivers, but i have the latest omega drivers. Is there some other way to fix this problem without switching my drivers? The omega drivers work perfectly with all of my other games and i'm gonna b pissed if i have to change them and deal with a whole host of new problems.
This game is fun but all of the patches and driver problems that i'm having with it are retarded. Lets not forget that the keyboard controls are IMPOSSIBLE to change. It's almost like the lead developer gave his retarded nephew a job working on everything besides the game itself (ya know, to make him feel special.)

There was one big patch out, did you install that? If so, I know a lot of people had to reinstall the game and the reapply the patch, myself included on both my laptop and desktop. I had those shadow problems on my ATI 9800XT. Haven't had problems since I reinstalled. A pain, yes, but worth it in the end.

Interesting you choose for Omega drivers for ATI. I saw a lot of people on notebookreview forums that use the modded laptopvideo2go.com drivers. I hear they are optimalized for nVidia. Why dont you try out those drivers?

usually drivers work with any game...but some drivers are better optimized for games, or for benchmarking, or just stock drivers.. so work better then others, and some just dont work with certain games..just have to find the best one for you, since if X driver works great for me, it isnt guarenteed that it will be great for you.
pb,out.
do omega drivers work with battlefield 2???
