Wow they actually ported Doom 3 to steam? The game only supported 4:3 and 5:4 resolutions as far as I know and 1600x1200 is 4:3. I run it at 1024x768 on my 1366x768 screen with the aspect ratio adjustment on in nvidia control panel. I run it at 1280x1024 on the 1680x1050.
1280x1024 with forced 4:3 would be the best setup for you unless you like the distortion. -
hmmm so how can I set this up? -

The aspect ratio adjustement? Right click on your desktop goto nvidia control panel. Under the display category is a section for change flat panel scaling. Click on it and change to Use Nvidia Scaling with fixed-aspect ratio.
Now all 4:3 games will display 4:3 all 16:9 games will show 16:9 all 16:10 game will show 16:10 and by game i mean when u have the res set to such. Basically gives you black bars like in a movie. You can also change to no scaling and a game will display at the exact res its set to instead of stretching, bars on all sides. -

Works but isnt perfect, the hud stretches and there are minor graphical glitches. 1280x1024 in 4:3 on a 1050 vertical screen looks great, unless your one of those who cant stand he screen not being filled. -
Im fine with that. -
