    hey, im buying a i9300 with a 256mb 6800 go.... ive looked around for benchmarks of doom 3 with that vid card, but all they have is high settings.....
    im just curious, how well doesn doom 3 run on ultra settings with the 6800 for those of you you have tried it

    i found out that sum ppl dont c any performance diff. b/w high and ultra..so they jus keep it on high 2 increase their battery life..and that sum ppl c hugh diff. b/w the high and ultra..and onli use the ultra wen plugged into an AC adapter plug

    Actually, Ultra Quality was designed for 512 MB video cards. So, if you have more than 1GB of RAM, then you're set. However, there is no visible difference between High and Ultra.

    BTW, what resolution are you trying to run Doom 3 at?
