    download new gfx driver now it won't install - help - something about hardware

    Nvidia Setup Error

    The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit.


    anyone know what I should do?

    What driver version did you download?

    Apparently what you have downloaded is not compatible with your graphics card.

    Nvidia does not directly offer drivers that are compatible with mobile graphics cards, check your manufacturer's website for updated drivers or you can try alternative Nvidia drivers.

    v177.83 Vista 32bit | NVIDIA

    this is the gfx I have - 256MB NVIDIA 8600M GT

    I uninstall the gfx driver I had then restarted computer.

    And tried installing that , but didn't work.
