hi, im using the 177.79 driver right now on my 8700mGT...

my question is, i was just notified with windows update today that theres an optional nvidia driver that i can use... the problem is it doesn't tell me what driver version it is...

so do i keep the one i have or do i let windows update take care of it?
    OR
do you have any suggestions on what driver is most stable/performance wise?

    thank you!!!

I had some problems with my 8700M GT with Vista (Not sure if you have Vista or XP). My problem was the driver kept crashing and recovering when I would play games.

I am currently using the 174.16 Driver version for mine, and have not had one single problem with it.

    Visit this site: http://laptopvideo2go.com/drivers/6

Under the 174.16, select either XP (32 or 64 Bit), or Vista (32 or 64 Bit), and install whichever one your system is.

If you don't know how to install the drivers from Laptopvideo2go.com, please make sure you read up on how to do it on their site.

You can see how to install them here: http://laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=9243
