drivers!!! z81sp!!! help

i went to nvidia's site and they didn't appear to have any matching this card 6800mxm

they had a bunch of other drivers but no ne that worked

I've been having a problem with weird polygon blips in half life 2. I down loaded the tweaked drivers and this did nothing to fix the problem

I was having a similar problem with an ms 1029 and had to send it back for a refund. please don't tell me the reseller didn't screw the heatsink in all the way.

 

I notice the same problem in some games that I play as well and I also own a Z81sp as well and have had it over a month now. The problem is that it draws some extra and unneeded polygons and I first noticed this when I ran 3dmark05.

Well anyways I have been researching this problem over the web with this notebook and accroding to a thread on the ASUS webiste forums, There's some type of "Beta" BIOS that's suppose to fix this problem. I have not had much time to call support about this problem because, my notebook is highly needed right now since I am going to school and I don't want to send it in right now since it will take 5 days to get it back to me. Hopefully if it's just a matter of flashing the BIOS, it's a quick fix pretty much.

I would suggest that you call your reseller's tech support or ASUS and mention this problem.

I got some good news for you, I called up my reseller (power notebooks) about the problem and later they contacted ASUS about this problem. Last night they gave me 2 Beta BIOS's that might fix the problem. According to ASUS, these BIOS's have fixed this problem for some and other's did not have much luck but it's worth a shot.

I installed 1 of the "beta" BIOS's just now and in one of my games at the splash screen when I seen a constant flicker of polygons, has now gone away. I am kind of now underway of testing more of my games such as doom 3 and 3Dmark as well where I have noticed these problems.

I would say call up your reseller and give them this information that's linked here (look under 6800 Go display problems thread which has a case number) and they should contact ASUS and they should be able to send you over the BIOS's.

The BIOS they sent me I used the one named "A4S0501A"

WHen you are ready to flash your BIOS, They recomend you use Winflash which can be downloaded from ASUS webiste or from the disk that came with your Notebook.

Well from doing some further testing with 3Dmark03 where this problem can really be seen with the flashing triangles on the Pixel shader 2.0 and falling troll test. I just ran 3Dmark03 with the New BIOS and this problem has seem to have gone away and these tests ran flawless. Too bad I don't have my Doom 3 disk on me right now I would sure like to test that as well. On Doom 3 I would have this problem at the doom 3 Splash screen.
