    drivers dont work?

    i heard that the omega drivers are really good with gaming well, i cant get the driver for my Go7800gtx to work with it, i download it and install it and them nothing happens its stays the way it was ?


    ps i ussually uninstall the old driver then install the omega

    Go to laptopvideo2go and then unistall the old drivers how they explain to do it. The 7800GTX is a great card, even with stock drivers. You might want to check out the xtreme-g drivers, they are great. :) I got a decent increase in performance.

    yeah i try does driver from laptopvideo.com and when i install them it will tell me that it cant find hardware and it wont install.

    They're safe to use, yes. I used them on my last machine with an Nvidia card just fine, using the same process USAF described.

    You have to replace the INF file . . you're not doing it right. There's directions on the site.

    ok while i play games it looks great now...in what ways the the new driver help me, what did it do to the vid card

    I'm not sure what exactly that specific driver did(check the read me/release notes on it to see if they list), but drivers just interpret commands on the machine to the card's functions. They can do everything from changing orders of how commands are executed to directing calls to different features of the chip. Basically, they just continually find ways to either make the card be accessed more fully and efficiently, or correct software glitches in current code.

    It doesn't do anything to the video card(usually...it could in theory change clock rates and such...but that's not a typical occurrence). The driver is just the software that allows the computer(and the software it runs) to interact with the hardware.
