I dont understand why the fujitsu with less power 1.6 duel vs 2.0 duel, gets a better score. Is there a diff between the ati x1400 and the ati x1400 128mb. These numbers come from the new xps m1210 review
    Notebook 3DMark 05 Results

    Dell Inspiron e1705 (2.0GHz Intel T2500, ATI X1400) 1,791 3D Marks

    Fujitsu n6410 (1.66 GHz Core Duo, ATI X1400 128MB) 2,273 3DMarks

I have just orderd the e1505 t2500 ati x1400 and 2 gig ram and would like to know were this model stacks up compared to the two models.

    Thanks for any help

Clockspeeds of the card can vary among manufacturers, so that would probably account for some of the difference. Benchmark scores can be affected by the version of drivers used. The processor doesn't make a big difference, but will cause the score to be different as well.

Your E1505 is very powerful, but it's hard to tell the number of 3DMarks it will get. Perhaps see what other people are getting.

Well for one processors dont make much of a difference in 3DMark. That Fujitsu probably has better drivers and higher stock clock speeds than the Dell.

Yes, the clock speeds of both the cards are most likely different. For example: A MacBookPro has an X1600 card. It's stock settings are 350/350. In an Asus S96j, the stock settings for the same X1600 card are 450/450. The MBP gets 3k in 3dmark05 while the Asus gets 4k. Same card, same specs, but the MBP X1600 is underclocked. I know that dell underclocks their cards quite a bit. And the drivers they use are trash. I would recommend trying to overclock your X1400 and install some omega drivers. When overclocking just watch for artifacts. You should be able to get around the same as the fujitsu. Another thing to remember and that was mentioned earlier is that the CPU has very little to do with 3dmark. In fact, today I tested it out. I set my AMD 3200+ to 2ghz and got 3750 marks When I overclocked it 400mhz to 2.4ghz I got 3857, about a 100point increase.

my overclocked ATI X1400 pulls 2100+ and I know it still has more in it. if you're going to use powerstrip make sure you get the previous version as opposed to the latest.
