    ok, heres the thing. ive finally found interest in teh F.E.A.R series. so i installed teh demo to try it out. and bang. nothing..it crashes before i see ANYTHING! i get the ususal half arsed error report and whatnot. and i cant figure out anything! i dont claim to be some windows wizz but im capable and tried a fair few things. i cut off my overclock to see if that was teh prob. nothing..that wasnt the problem..everything runs fine with the overclock. c&c 3, episode1, oblivion, GTR2, deus ex. its all fine. so im not sure whats wrong. anyone with an idea? heres the spec im running.

    c2d 2ghz. 2gb memory, 100gb 7200rpm, x1800 (oc'd a bit) yup, drivers uptodate, rolled back, changed...i tried it all. thanks

    Try and update the graphics card drivers to the latest release, and see if that makes any difference. Also, update the game with the latest patches and upgrades.

    naah, like i said, everythings up to date. everything. it wont even start up. i jsut want to know if anyone is suffering from anything similar? i cant seem to find anything after googling!

    Have you tried reinstalling the game? Maby the demo is just full of bugs. The full game should run great with this laptop. I haven't had any problems with neither single- or multiplayer.

    The Demo for FEAR is terrible, and the performance is also bad. On my X700, my framerates jumped 30-45% when I bought the real game over the demo.
