Far Cry 2 problem

im 62% of the way through so far and have had no problems upto now.
ive just traveled to Sepoko and just before i entered the camp i come across a gaurds post. i kill all the rebels except for 1 that keeps firing at me with a direct hit every time. when i finally find him its actually a gun in mid air without anyone holding it. no matter what i throw at it it wont go down so in the end i just drive off to Sepoko. after killing all the rebels im about to leave and a voice and text at the bottom of screen keeps saying. dont leave me here. you cant let thm find me here. help me. grunt groan so on and so on.

any ideas if this is a bug and is there a fix for it.
im using 179.28 drivers.

just to be sure, try a newer driver version. beyond that, the grunt and groan etc. is a buddy, right? and IIRC they use green smoke to show their position, so maybe you just didn't see your buddy because he was lying behind a bush or something.

ok, your right about my buddy,ifound the blue smoke quite a way outside the camp but the strange thing is he hadnt been used so what he was doing there i have no idea.
still the problem of the gun in mid air that cant be killed. so new drivers it is then.
