here are the estimated requirements for FC2. http://www.farcry2-hq.com/requirements.htm
so what do you guys think, is it on par with crysis?
im thinking that a little ess that crysis because this is gonna be out for XBOX360,PC,PS3. so it will probably require less. but knowing ubisoft , optimization might go down the drain.![]()

I met all the requirements except "Hard Drive Space: 6-8GB"
-
i was hoping to play this on my m1530 when it comes this summer, maybe the upgrade from the m1530 if it comes in september or october.
-
it will have lower requirements however rumor has it that it may not even come out on PC... or come out on PC well after the console releases..
Ubi will prob use the assassins creed release plan if u ask me worked well for them. And its some thing EA / microsoft are also doing with the blockbuster games.
PC copy out 6-12 months after console.
when UT3 experienced 40million unique attempts to play online with a pirated copy
and Crysis is dumbed by its creators as "the most pirated game of all time"..
i really cant see ubi releasing it on PC at the same time. -
well, that sucks, i was hoping to play it when i got my m1530... insert sad face
-
looks like ill need to slap this game on my beastly desktop
-
I'm beginning to loathe Crytek.
-
-
-
So looks like the 8600m GT should capable to play it about as well as it handled Crysis.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I will be playing this on my desktop as well; my poor Sager hasn't been able to meet the minimum requirements for any of the games that have come out recently except for UT III.
-
Those are pretty nice requirements, even my 7950GTX is between the recommended and high requirements.
So the 8800 GTX(M or desktop) would probably handle it just fine. -
I guess the 8400m gs will get crushed?
-
Ah nice, well if I could play Crysis at 1920x1200 I see no reason Far Cry 2 wouldn´t work at native and DX10 High
-
@Magnus72, you should have no worries maxing out games at native for at least 1 year
I expect you to have among the best scores for FarCry2 when it will get released, considering your OCing and all -
Looks like a rental to me.
-
-
can't wait to get this. but mark my word, if you don't optimize ubisoft a real lion will to your office. click here to watch and see what i mean
-
Yeah I hope so eleron
Nice car by the way.
-
well, ive been hoping that this game is gonna run better than Crysis, if it ran with 5 FPS more, i'll be really satsfied
-
wow you guys have some expensive desktops plus you also have a sweet laptop may I ask one question.... Why?
-
Add mods and cool side quests and you won't put this down for awhile!
Hmm how does a 9600M GT 512 compare to a 8800GTS? :F -

Same here actually, I have it so I can play games maxed out on both my rigs. Though I use my desktop for game development and especially playing LAN at home with friends. I actually have another good laptop a XPS M170 not in my sig, still peforms really good.
-
I guess my dv5z and ATI 3450 ain't gonna be able to play this...
-
Beefed up C2d.. hmm 3.2ghz i guess? rofl
-
ScifiMike12 Drinking the good stuff
- CPU: E8400 @ N/A (still testing)
- Graphics: 4870X2 (when it comes out)
- RAM: 4GB DDR2
- Hard Drive Space: 70GB partitioned for games
- Optical Drive: Samsung SATA DVD burner
Yummy yummy. -
it's the first time i see something like maximal requirements lol
-
I haven't owned a desktop in a long time, but I think my notebook will run FC2 fine.
-
im sure they will release on pc at the same time as consoles since it was originally a pc game.... that would be a slap in the face to pc gamers... i just dont know if i should get it on 360 or pc... have to see what the reviews say...since ubi has gone and said no version will be better than the other (which is lame).... not taking advantage of stronger pc hardware
-
-
usapatriot Notebook Nobel Laureate
Well I know I can run it on my desktop.
-
Whats the big deal? The requirements are like the same as COD4 except for the "maximal"?lol???.
-
the big deal is the game is made by Ubisoft, which are coded like trash altough i bought every single one of them because they are engaging.
-
Prince of Persia series wasn't that bad on PCs by Ubisoft....i think.
