    far cry on w7j wont run!?

    Hi I have the original five cd pack of far cry plus the patches from ubisoft 1.1 up to 1.33. Odd thing is that the install never asked me for the cd key?

    I Installed the five disks fine, then ran far cry with disk 1 in the dvdrw drive.

    The W7j has a 256mb geforce go 7400 card and a DVDRW drive. I am running windows xp pro.

    Selecting play the first time I get an autocofig window for far cry. I select OK then nothing happens. The screen reverts to my desktop. I click on the shortcut and get a brief blank flash of screen then nothing. I tried 1280 x800 (native), 1024 x 768, and 800 x 600 resolutions.

    If anyone has a suggestion I would be grateful

    try the usual stuff: new drivers, patches and new instalation
    if that doesn't help get the cd replaced.
